My name is Wendy (that's me in the photo with my husband David). I live in a typical beachside community with little work for the over 40's.

Not so long ago I returned, or tried to return, to the workforce. I had been a "mum" for 20 years and stayed at home.

I was moderately computer literate but found I had been left behind by the cyber generation. Although I am a trained receptionist/office administrator, no one wanted an "older" person and I became very depressed after months of seaching for a job.

I almost gave up but I saw a hand written advertisement, on a post, offering work to anyone with a computer. It turned out to be a lot of hours for little return.

I got to thinking that there must be more opportunities to work from home using my skills.

My next step was to start searching the internet and with the help of my husband and son I learned about Yahoo and Google and similar search engines (I used to think a search engine was a type of railway train).

To my amazement I found thousands of opportunities open to me.

After a few false starts, I was able to understand computer speak (the people who write some of this stuff think we are all born with an inbuilt "nerd speak" dictionary and automatically know what it all means). Once mastered (and it really isn't that difficult), the world of computers opened up for me.

I have successfully opened up a number of income streams with "work from home" plans available on the internet. However, I found I wasted many hundreds of hours trying to find what was available, what was realistic for me, what didn't require mega bucks to get started and what was a scam (oh yes, there are some!!).

I thought "if I am having this sort of trouble, then others must have the same troubles".

That was the reason for the birth of this website.

Rather than trying to locate "work from home" and "money making" ideas all through the internet, I decided to list as many as I can on this site. I have tried to only list genuine people and eliminate the scams. This has taken months of research.

This will make it easy for you.

It still means you have to read the proposals put to you by the various entrepeneurs and you will have to assess what is suitable for YOU. But you will save hundreds of hours by just having to visit this website and not keep searching everytime you turn your computer on.
